Summer clouds are climbing up vigorously like a baritone voice. The scene wrapped in the rococo light beats the scent of soil and it was playing a beautiful harmony in classical tones.

In this season, my heart starts to leap even though there's nothing to feel happy. I feel like my body's engine starts to run when a lightly humid morning air brings the blue scent of grasses. So, I make it a rule to stretch myself getting my body steamed in the quiet rural scene.

The daytime temperature has exceeded 20 degree Celsius and I felt the beginning of summer. People wear colorful clothes and they seemed to be smiling more. Now is the time the town and the people become most brilliant.

While the population of the Tokyo's 23 districts is 9 million, that of the city of Seattle is 0.65 million, which is under the one tenth. Even though the land space is about the half of Tokyo, the downtown is still much quieter than Tokyo. The old streets and buildings remain receiving occasional repairs.

I see many old couples walking downtown holding hands, and I feel happy to see their love. I guess they have overcome many things before they live in peace now. Their flavorful wrinkles talk about their hardship they went through.

For uncle Charlie's 103rd birthday, his close relatives got together to celebrate (I impudently joined, too). His legs are becoming weaker, but he's in great health and he has a good appetite. He finishes salad and a large barbecued king salmon. How wonderful is that! It's very Charlie when he crashes a joke, "I can't keep my body line if I eat this much."

There're many kinds of chairs in the museum. I tend to overstay there because I can look at the paintings and get relaxed on the chairs. This may be what we call an oasis in the city.

These days I react to people and scenes when they are photogenic. This seems to be different from my past reaction to subjects signaling stories. I think I'm more active when I search for subjects and sometimes I forcefully make up stories from them. Anyway, the fact I'm shooting because there's a tone that attracts my heart hasn't changed.

After the sun sets, that passionate scene stops voicing and the sentimental feeling cloisters itself inside and my feeling of being left behind is neglected. Soon, I start to feel dazzled by a dreamy trap that is trying to absorb myself, and I feel exhausted in the twilight as if I'm impatient for love.
