World population is reaching 7 billion soon. They say this country’s population has already exceeded3 hundred million. I guess the power of industry gathers more people and the city also grows. I heard that now it doesn’t take more than 10 years for the world to have an increase of 1 billion. If this is true, I wonder if fields and mountains would become residential areas. I hope human wisdom will help us prosper while preserving nature. Japan is mostly homogeneous, but the majority of U.S. population has historically been composed by immigrants from Germany, Ireland, England, Italy, France, and other European nations. And, these people brought each culture to their towns. Recently, there seems to be more Hispanic and Asian immigrants, too. Because many of them use their native languages in their private communication, I hear many languages in town and I feel it’s very international. In such a multicultural environment, they don’t care what they wear and what they speak. This open and free mindedness is something I like about this country.

A laptop computer or even a smartphone enables everyone to get all kinds of information no matter where they are. So, I feel that intercultural boundaries are being lost gradually. By sharing knowledge, we feel closer to each other (and we don’t feel we’re strangers). Whenever my eyes meet others’ eyes, I greet by smiling lightly, and I feel relieved as many of them greet back to me.

On the streets of the lively and vibrant town, people’s energy is emitted. So, I feel the stimulation on my skin just by walking. Population size of downtown Seattle is perfect for me. I become tired when there’re too many people and I feel lovely when there’re too little people. How hard it is to please me! Anyway, this is why I thank the population size of this town. Yet, I like to watch a baseball game with many people because it excites me more. Wait, I like to be alone in the nature, too. Now, I remember that my parents used to say I was vague and troublesome.

The default language of video movies is English and you can switch to Spanish and French as well. Speaking of computer games, now it’s a common sense that we can download them worldwide and choose from 10 languages. This also makes me feel that international boundaries are being lowered.

Even though they have lived in the U.S. for generations, their living style and preferences are different from each other because culturally they’re rooted differently. And, it’s interesting that these different people are living their lives in the same area. I like their roughness to accept difference: even if 1 + 1 becomes 3. However, since “common sense” is different in each culture, we have to create dozens of pages for a business contract to arrange minute things. Although it depends on the kinds of business, I think the reason why few pages are enough to sign on a contract in Japan is they basically share “their common sense” as a homogeneous people.

I’m glad to see bright spring scenes when it’s head for winter. It’s surprising that finding spring in winter is more shooting than finding spring in spring. I can imagine their flowering in a glorious light and can even smell the bracing scent. This gives me a courage to live pleasantly in the coming cold rainy season.

The world lools different in the backstreet. Escaping from the cloud and finding a place to sit, I take a deep breath. I look at an old man cleaning wholeheartedly and I feel comfortable finding myself that I’m not a person who feels insecure of myself in the people anymore.

I wonder if this cook were thinking what to cook for the chef’s special for that night while taking a break before the dinnertime. Unmistakably, he must be a great cook and he was always smiling. I’ve been doing many kinds of jobs, but I hadn’t become a cook. How great it must be to cook for someone and hear “it tastes great!” If I become a cook, it’ll be Italian. As for Japanese, I don’t have the patience to be trained by the strict chef for years. As for French, the language sounds difficult to learn and I can’t hold the big and heavy wok for cooking Chinese food. I like garlics, so how about Korean? No, I like to eat all kinds of food, but I think Italian best suits me and it would be nice if I could cook delightfully listening to canzone.
