I shot placing the camera on the counter. Although the M Monochrom is very selective in the lenses, I cannot find any faults of this lens. When it was released I used to get astonished by the sharpness wide open, and it’s powerful enough on the MM as well.
At a café in Prague. It’s sharp but not hard. I just have no complaints.
Before dawn. The lighting was flat and limited. But still, it is because of the MM’s resolving power that I can tell where I focused to at this distance using a 50mm. It realizes a little heavy air of the scene.
When I use a digital Leica in Europe, I realize that their cameras and lenses are optimized for shooting in this place. Anyway, what a terrific lens. The SUMMILUX is the lens that you would want first amongst others. It’s pricey, but once you get it, you won’t regret it.
