The new SUMMILUX’s barrel is a little shorter than the former version. This is the lens that knocked me out. Of course I was surprised by the sharpness wide open, but moreover I was struck by the awesome solidity. The former version was a great lens as well, so I didn’t think they needed to update it. If I get really picky, I could say that, just like the former version, the back bokeh can become rough in a certain distance. However, the former version didn’t have this sharpness in the focused area. You really need to be determined financially to get this lens, but if you are already, I strongly recommend it to you without hesitation.
