21mm is great for taking streetshots. I feel like I'm capturing my sight just as it is.
Rangefinder users like snapshots. I wonder if they are influenced by the great photographers using rangefinders. But, I believe it's also because of the rangefinder's structural advantage for snapshooting - the compactness, and the viewfinder that provides a clear view regardless of focus, and again the viewfinder that shows what's going on outside of the frame. This lens doesn't spoil the compactness and provides the wide 21mm focal length. If you mount this lens, both your equipment and heart becomes lighter and you'll be shooting more casually. In other words, this is a lens that doesn't weigh on your mind. It's also very useful on the R-D1 and the M8 with smaller sensors. The size, the performance, and the price - they are perfectly balanced and you can shoot with it daytime without a problem. Shoot what's going on your town everyday or take a large panoramic view. It's a great starter ultra wide angle lens.
