24mm is great for traveling, streetshots, and wide portraits. Now that the maximum aperture increased from f2.8 to f1.4, you get extra amount of bokeh and slower shutter speed. The difference of the two f-stops offers you more variety of expression. The output is softer than the SUMMILUX-M f1.4/21mm that was released at the same time, so I would like to use it for portraits. The distortions are well corrected and the bokeh is nice, too. Leica has three 24mm lenses and they are all different in their performance. It’s something we should be happy about.
