Located on the 3rd floor of Multimedia Yodobashi Akiba, Leica Boutique Yodobashi Akiba deals exclusively with Leica products and employs interior design based on Leica Camera's CI (Cooperate Identity). Similar to Leica Stores managed directly by Leica, we provide "Leica X2 a la carte" service as well as "Leica a la carte" for the LEICA M7 and MP. In addition to cameras and lenses, we also deal with Leica binoculars and along with other products. We also provide a space where you can take a look at pictures taken with Leica, Leica products, and catalogues.
We held a private viewing before today's opening. In a grand opening speech, Mr. Kazunori Fuke, CEO of Leica Camera Japan Co. Ltd. said that this is the first Leica boutique in Tokyo and this cooperation was realized by Yodobashi Camera's enthusiasm in photography and cameras.
In the boutique, you can take time in trying Leica products and feel free to ask questions. Also, we plan to display some prints of the sample photography on this website.
Leica Camera has a long history of producing numbers of legendary cameras and lenses. And, the brand established the cornerstone of today's 35mm cameras. People tend not to look at the present of such a historical and prestigious brand. In the Photokina 2012, we had a chance to interview people at Leica Camera and we focused on what they do now.
