This Voigtlander 25mm was first released as "Snapshot Skopar." It didn't have the rangefinder coupling and it was dark. It was a simple lens and I almost heard the wisper, "You normally stop down to take snapshots, don't you?" This second M mount version COLOR-SKOPAR 25mm F4P is rangefinder-coupled and inherits the gene. It's compact and handy, yet the performance is excellent. This size is perfect for the GXR and the focal length becomes 42.5mm. This is a perfect everyday lens for experts who stop down properly. Also, this focal length gives a clear answer to the people who can't decide whether they should pick a 35mm or a 50mm.

Depiction is great wide open. And it's excellent to the corners because of cropping factor.

You can take close up shots thanks to the 50cm minimum focus distance. Bokeh is natural.

It's clear, and you'll feel good using it.

With the focal length of 42.5mm, you can step forward or backward. I think it's a perfect angle of view.

It's hard to use in the night because of the modest max aperture, but it can't be helped. Still, thanks to the GXR's high ISO performance, the picture quality is sufficient for practical use.

It's a normal lens with no peculiarity, so it's a perfect lens for heavy users.
