This is a cunning lens. While the Leica's 21mm is F1.4, but this one is darker by half a f-stop. The price is about 1/5 or 1/6 of the Leica's. I know you want to know how this lens is different from the SUMMILUX. Honestly, it's very different and if I need to determine if it's good or bad, I must say this is a great lens. The peak focus is amazingly sharp wide open. Among the sample images, all shots except the ginkgo and the building were shot wide open. With smaller apertures, it becomes razor sharp. The bokeh isn't bad. Above all, F1.8 at the focal length of 21mm is worth owning. You can use it for wide portraits, night streetshooting, and macro photography utilizing the 50cm Focus distance (note the rangefinder works up to 70cm). This lens allows more variety in your expression. It's nonsense to compare it with the SUMMILUX. Get it and just break in it. Play with shallow depth of field and of course you can always panfocus.

Shot wide open, at the minimum distance. Check the bokeh. I can't wait for the LEICA M with a live-view. The bokeh has some peculiarity, but the amount is good enough.

Another shot wide open at the minimum distance. Even at this closest distance, the edge lines are depicted clearly. I feel they made no compromise in the close up performance.
