The simple "professional" M9

It's basically the M9 with the minor cosmetic changes. This is enough for another business because it's a Leica, and the content of the changes is very Leica, too.

The design is simple and smart. There's no red badge in the front and has the traditional face of the Leica M cameras since the M3. The simple top cover and the edgy lines remind me of the MP for films.

Those who consider Leica just as a luxury item may not understand what this model means. However, those who are fascinated with Leica and taking photography with it will just welcome the M9-P. The reason Leica M cameras maintain the same design is because it's a rational and excellent shape. They don't change because they don't have to. It's a camera without unnecessary decorations and it lets you focus on shooting. Since the M9 was released, film Leica users are switching to digital Leica cameras. This is a Leica M camera for those who understand the difference and it's an ideal photographic tool.

I want you to take a look at this camera as an exceptionally stoic choice.

The front side became very flat because of the absence of the "M9" engraving and the red badges. This modest design without the brand logo reminds me of the classic Leica cameras.

The Leica engraving is on the top and I'm sure the old Leica users love it. This logo is only visible to the photographer, but others can't see it in front. What a clever design.

Once you got this body, what else do you need?

I want you to take a look at the pictures that you took when you had just gotten your new camera. I'm sure they are filled with your excitement of using the tool for the first time. Pictures change if we change cameras? It's not altogether wrong.

It's heavy and you can feel it's a metal. The round design fits to your hands and it ensures the feeling of shooting every time you look into the viewfinder and press the shutter button. Undoubtedly, the feeling of manual focusing and exposing will make you satisfied. You decide on the focus distance, compose, and shoot - all by yourself. Both the camera and the lens surely respond to the series of primitive actions to take photography.

We don't become a better writer just because we get a better fountain pen, but at least a better pen will let us write more. In this sense, our writing skill may improve. The same goes for cameras and lenses, and you'll be more into photography after you encounter your favorite tool. You feel good using it, happy owning it, and attracted looking at it. History shows that such tools have been loved by all generations.

If you could encounter the "real thing," it's truly a happy thing and you don't have to worry about the numerous new products being released one after another. All you need to do is just keep using the Leica M9-P.
